Former deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Microfinance and Small Loans Center (MASLOC), Afia Akoto, has been appointed Secretary for the Religious and Chieftancy Committee (Christian category).
The committee is co‑chaired by the Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin South, Rev. John Ntim Foudjor and the former MP for Subin Constituency, Sampson Kwaku Boafo.
Afia Akoto has been instrumental in interfaith dialogue and youth empowerment programs before taking on the secretary role.
In this position she will coordinate the committee’s activities and ensure smooth communication among its members, which include Asamoah Boateng, Kofi Dzamesi, Irene Naa Torshie Addo and several other notable leaders.
The committee aims to foster collaboration between Christian organizations and traditional authorities to promote cultural and spiritual harmony in Ghana, and Akoto’s leadership is expected to drive its initiatives on religious and chieftancy issues.
