The Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Abla Dzifa Gomashie has called on Ghanaian bloggers, vloggers, and social media creators to help showcase the country’s tourism potential to the world, saying the “Black Star Experience” should begin with domestic tourism.

Speaking during a visit to the Jirapa Royal Hill Safari in the Upper West Region, the Minister urged Ghanaians to explore their own country and support local destinations.

The facility, popularly known as “Jirapa Dubai,” was described by Madam Gomashie as a world-class eco-tourism destination comparable to celebrated safari experiences abroad.

She stressed that Ghana’s tourism industry can only thrive with strong domestic participation, pointing to the country’s cultural heritage, wildlife, landscapes, and unique experiences as reasons it has something for everyone.

In a direct appeal to the country’s digital creators, Madam Gomashie encouraged the use of social media, bloggers, and vloggers to amplify Ghana’s tourism offerings and position the country as a must-visit destination.

The push aligns with the ministry’s ‘#BlackStarExperience’ and ‘#VisitGhana’ campaigns, which aim to boost both local and international interest in Ghana’s attractions.

The Minister’s remarks come as the government seeks to leverage domestic tourism to drive economic opportunities and strengthen national unity through shared cultural experiences.
