The Chief of Staff has called for stronger collaboration among African countries in tackling emerging security threats across the continent.

Speaking at the matriculation ceremony for Course 3 of the National College of Defence Studies at Burma Camp, the Chief of Staff addressed participants from Ghana and several sister African countries who have committed themselves to advancing strategic leadership, national security, and public service.

He stressed the urgent need for a new generation of security and policy leaders who are “equipped not only with academic excellence, but also with the discipline, integrity, and strategic foresight required to navigate today’s increasingly complex global and regional security environment.”

The Chief of Staff also highlighted the importance of strengthening collaboration among African states in addressing emerging threats such as terrorism, violent extremism, cyber insecurity, political instability, and transnational crime.

According to him, these challenges “demand coordinated leadership and collective responsibility across the continent.”

He further stated that under the leadership of President John Dramani Mahama, the government remains committed to strengthening Ghana’s national security architecture to ensure enduring peace, stability, and resilience.

“Africa’s future will continue to depend on courageous, ethical and visionary leaders who are prepared to serve with purpose, patriotism and a commitment to peace, stability, and the collective good of our people,” he added.
