The Western Regional Police Command has declared a 28-year-old Sule Anas wanted in connection with the alleged defilement and unnatural carnal knowledge of two minors at Fijai Zongo Central near Sekondi.

According to a statement issued on Thursday, May 21, 2026, by the Public Affairs Unit of the Western Regional Police Command, the suspect is an Arabic teacher employed by community leaders in Fijai Zongo Central to teach children Arabic on weekends.

Police investigations indicate that Anas allegedly lured the victims into a storeroom inside a mosque under the pretext of performing spiritual cleansing.

A warrant for his arrest was issued on Wednesday, May 20, by the Gender Court in Sekondi. The police described the suspect as fair in complexion and about 5.7 feet tall.

According to police preliminary investigations, the suspect may be hiding in La Côte d’Ivoire or Togo.

The Command is urging anyone with credible information on the whereabouts of Sule Anas, who is currently on the run, to contact the Western Regional Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit, the nearest police station, or call 191 or 112.
