The Office of the Registrar of Companies (ORC) has announced plans to strike off 318 companies from the Companies Register over non-compliance to ensuring compliance with Ghana’s corporate regulatory framework.

In a press statement dated May 19, 2026, the ORC said the exercise is being carried out pursuant to Section 289(3) of the Companies Act, 2019 (Act 992).

The statement said the affected companies have been earmarked for removal from the Register of Companies and that notice has already been published in Volume 40 of the ORC Companies Bulletin dated May 15.

The ORC explained that unless cause is shown to the contrary, the listed companies will be struck off the register after three months from the date of publication and will thereafter stand dissolved.

The Office noted that the exercise forms part of ongoing regulatory and compliance enforcement measures aimed at “ensuring the continued accuracy, integrity and dependability of the Register of Companies.”

The ORC further reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring compliance with Ghana’s corporate regulatory framework and promoting high standards of corporate governance and business transparency.
