Leicester City have confirmed that Ghanaian International Jordan Ayew’s stint at the King Power Stadium comes to an end this summer.
The decision follows the expiration of the player’s contract at the club.
Leicester City announced in a club statement that Ayew is one of ten players departing the League One side.
“We can confirm that 10 Men’s First Team players will depart upon the expiration of their contracts this summer,” the statement reads.
The nine other departing players include; Ricardo Pereira, Patson Daka, Jamaal Lascelles, Wanya Marçal, Jordan James, Aaron Ramsey, Joe Aribo, Dujuan Richards, and Divine Mukasa.
The former Premier League champions, however, noted that they are in discussion with goalkeeper Asmir Begović whose contract is also due to expire this summer, for an extension.
Leicester City expressed its gratitude to these players for their contributions to the club.
“We would like to thank all those leaving us for their contributions during their time on Filbert Way, and wish them the very best for the future.”
Jordan Ayew joined Leicester City from Crystal Palace on August 23, 2024, signing a two-year contract worth £5 million.
He scored 11 goals in 72 appearances across all competitions over his two years at the club.
