Founder of GN Bank, Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom is set to address the media for the first time since 2019, following a Court of Appeal ruling ordering the Bank of Ghana (BoG) to reinstate the bank’s operating licence. In a Facebook post on Thursday, May 28, 2026, Dr. Nduom announced a press conference for Friday, May 29 at 10:00 am to outline “the way forward for GN Bank/GN Savings” and discuss next steps. The event will be his first public address on the matter since the bank’s licence was revoked in 2019. This comes after the Court of Appeal ordered BoG to reinstate GN Bank’s licence, a major turn in the long-running dispute over the 2019 financial sector clean-up. Dr. Nduom has since maintained that the revocation was unfair and has campaigned under the hashtag #BringBackGNBank. The press conference is expected to address how GN Bank plans to resume operations, recapitalization, and engagement with former customers and staff. Further details are expected at the 10:00 am press briefing.
