Ghanaian actress, Bernice Asare, has opened up about the support she received from fellow actress and entrepreneur, Tracey Boakye, ahead of her trip to the United Kingdom, describing their relationship as one built on genuine love and sisterhood.
During a discussion with ZionFelix ahead of her performance at the Indigo at The O2 in London, Bernice revealed that Tracey Boakye has encouraged her to travel abroad for years and even supported her financially when she finally decided to make the trip.
“Tracey is my sister. I love her and she also loves me. She has been telling me to travel outside for about 10 years now. But I always told her that God’s plan is the best,” Bernice said.
According to the actress, Tracey would often take her passport and urge her to travel, but she did not feel ready at the time.
“She would take my passport and tell me to travel, but then I wasn’t ready. Now that I have decided to travel, she gave me pounds,” she disclosed.
Bernice further explained that her earlier decision not to travel was influenced by her family responsibilities, having married at a young age and focused on building her home.
“I decided not to travel then because I married early and I was making a family,” she added.
Bernice Asare is among the Ghanaian stars expected to grace the Indigo at The O2 event in the United Kingdom, which is set to showcase Ghanaian entertainment and culture to audiences abroad.
