The De Mayor Foundation has marked its first anniversary with a donation drive to support education and community development in the South Tongu District of the Volta Region.
The outreach, held on July 2, 2026, targeted three schools: Dalive–Torsikpota LA Primary School, Agorta JHS, and Nutekpor LA Primary School.

As part of the support, the Foundation presented bundles of exercise books and notebooks, mathematical sets, boxes of pens, pencils, erasers, sharpeners, chalk, and packs of assorted drinks for school activities.
According to the Foundation, the items are intended to ease the financial burden on parents, support teaching and learning, and give pupils access to basic learning materials needed to perform well in school.

“Every child deserves access to quality educational resources regardless of their background,” the Foundation stated.
Beyond the schools, De Mayor Foundation also pledged to provide chippings to the Dalive–Torsikpota community.

The support is to address waterlogged and poor grounds left behind by recent floods. The intervention, the Foundation said, will improve movement, enhance safety, and create a better living environment for residents.
Meanwhile, authorities of Agorta JHS appealed to the Foundation for roofing sheets to replace the school’s leaking roof.

The school noted that rainfall often floods classrooms and disrupts academic work.
The Foundation acknowledged the request and said it will explore partnerships and resources to address the challenge.
As it celebrates one year of service, De Mayor Foundation expressed gratitude to supporters and reaffirmed its commitment to working with individuals, corporate bodies, philanthropists, and development partners to expand its impact.

“Education is a shared responsibility, and every act of kindness has the power to transform lives. Together, we can build stronger schools, empowered communities, and a brighter future for every child,” the Foundation added.
