Zoomlion Ghana Limited has pledged full support for the Government’s National General Clean-Up Exercise scheduled for Friday, July 10 and Saturday, July 11, 2026, in flood-affected regions across the country.
In a statement issued in Accra, the waste management company commended President John Dramani Mahama for the directive, describing it as “bold, timely, and decisive” following recent floods.
“We commend His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama for this bold, timely, and decisive intervention following the recent floods,” Zoomlion stated.
As Ghana’s foremost waste management company, Zoomlion said it is immediately activating its nationwide network and placing all regional, district, and municipal offices on standby.
The company will also deploy its fleet of equipment, logistics, and skilled personnel to support Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies, MMDAs, and affected communities.
According to Zoomlion, its support will include the deployment of sanitation personnel to support coordinated clean-up activities, the provision of waste collection trucks, skip containers, compactors and other heavy-duty equipment, evacuation and safe disposal of waste and silt from designated collection points, desilting of drains and waterways to improve water flow and reduce flooding risk, sweeping and cleaning of roads, markets, lorry parks and public spaces, comprehensive disinfection and sanitisation of flood-affected public areas, and technical and operational support to MMDAs and other stakeholders.
Zoomlion added that its operations will extend beyond the two-day exercise where necessary, working closely with relevant authorities to ensure affected communities are restored to safe and healthy conditions.
The company further urged residents, community leaders, businesses, institutions, and civil society organisations to actively participate in the exercise.
“Together, we can restore our communities, protect public health, and build a cleaner, more resilient Ghana,” the statement said.
Zoomlion reaffirmed its commitment to delivering innovative and sustainable environmental sanitation solutions to improve lives and support national development.
