The Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) has arrested ten suspected drug offenders during a coordinated intelligence-led operation across several communities in Cape Coast.

The operation, which targeted alleged drug trafficking and abuse hotspots, was carried out in Pedu, Victoria Road, the University of Cape Coast (UCC) area, Downtown, and other strategic locations.

The suspects, both male and female ages between 24 to 55years, NACOC said in a statement.

According to the statement, the operation forms part of its ongoing efforts to combat the illicit drug trade and enhance public safety.

“Officers conducted simultaneous raids at multiple locations, leading to the arrest of the ten suspects and the retrieval of items believed to be connected to illegal narcotics activities.”

The seized exhibits are expected to undergo further examination as part of the Commission’s investigations.

“The operation underscores NACOC’s commitment to dismantling drug networks and reducing the availability of illicit substances within communities,” It added.
