Several high-profile corruption cases under Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) will be heard in court this week from Monday, July 27 to Friday, July 31, 2026.
The docket includes the Skytrain project case, the cybersecurity software scandal, the Buffer Stock case, an Exim Bank loan case involving NPP Chairman Bernard Antwi Boasiako aka Chairman Wontumi, a National Service case, and an illegal mining case in the Tano-Nimiri Forest Reserve.
According to the court schedule released by ORAL, Specialized Court 1 will be the busiest.
On Monday, July 27 at 9:00am, Criminal Court 4 will hear a Motion on Notice for Abridgment of Time in the Republic versus Asamoah and Another Skytrain case. At 9:30am, Specialized Court 1 will continue with the cross-examination of the 4th Prosecution Witness in the Republic versus Kwabena Adu Boahene and 2 Others cybersecurity case. At 10:00am, Criminal Court 4 will also handle the cross-examination of the 3rd Prosecution Witness in the Republic versus Gifty Oware Mensah National Service case. At 10:30am, General Jurisdiction 10 will take an update on plea negotiations in the Republic versus Bernard Antwi Boasiako aka Chairman Wontumi and 2 Others Exim Bank Loan case.
On Tuesday, July 28 at 9:00am, Specialized Court 1 will hear the Republic versus Hanan Abdul-Wahab Aludiba and Another Buffer Stock case on motions to compel disclosure of documents and for leave to travel. At 9:30am, the same court will continue with the cross-examination of the 4th Prosecution Witness in the Republic versus Kwabena Adu Boahene and 2 Others cybersecurity case.
On Wednesday, July 29 at 9:30am, Specialized Court 1 will again sit for the cross-examination of the 4th Prosecution Witness in the Republic versus Kwabena Adu Boahene and 2 Others cybersecurity case. At 12:00pm, the court will hear the Republic versus Hanan Abdul-Wahab Aludiba and Another Buffer Stock case for trial.
On Thursday, July 30 at 9:00am, Criminal Court 4 will hear a Motion for Stay of Proceedings Pending Appeal in the Republic versus Asamoah and Another Skytrain case. At 11:30am, Specialized Court 1 will continue with the cross-examination of the 4th Prosecution Witness in the Republic versus Kwabena Adu Boahene and 2 Others cybersecurity case.
The week ends on Friday, July 31 at 9:00am with the cross-examination of the 3rd Prosecution Witness in the Republic versus Akonta Mining and 3 Others Tano-Nimiri Forest Reserve Mining case in Criminal Court 1. At 10:00am, the High Court will hold a Case Management Conference in the Republic versus Osei Assibey Antwi National Service case.
ORAL was set up to investigate alleged financial loss to the state and recover assets linked to corruption.
