Lawyers representing Ghanaian fashion icon, Nana Akua Addo, have urged media houses to refrain from publishing or sharing videos showing an alleged domestic dispute involving the fashion icon and her children.
In a press release dated October 6, 2026, Nkrabeah and Associates, acting on behalf of their client, Rosemond Akua Adobea, also known as Nana Akua Addo, said their attention had been drawn to several “harrowing videos” circulating on social media.
According to the lawyers, the videos show their client and her children allegedly embroiled in a domestic dispute.
They stated that the videos were leaked without Nana Akua Addo’s knowledge or consent, describing the situation as a “deep violation” of her privacy and that of her children, who are minors.
The lawyers have therefore appealed to all media houses to exercise restraint and avoid publishing or sharing the videos, particularly footage allegedly showing the abuse of a minor.
“This is a delicate matter involving young children and as such we are counting on your responsible journalism to safeguard the mental wellbeing of the victims of this unfortunate turn of events who are already dealing with enough trauma,” the statement said.
Nkrabeah and Associates further disclosed that the matter is currently sub judice and is in the hands of the appropriate authorities.
The lawyers also expressed gratitude to the Ghana Police Service for what they described as its timely intervention and responsiveness, while expressing confidence in the country’s court system to address domestic violence.
