Chief of Staff, Dr Julius Debrah, has urged members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to remain united as the party begins its constituency elections.
In a message to aspirants, delegates and party members, he called for peaceful elections, respect for the rules and dignity among members throughout the process.
Dr Debrah expressed appreciation to the party’s grassroots for their commitment, time, energy and resources, often without recognition.
He also thanked all aspirants for offering themselves to serve the party and urged delegates to exercise their responsibility carefully and in the best interests of the NDC.
The Chief of Staff further called on those who emerge victorious to reach out to their opponents with humility and bring all members on board, stressing that every member has a role to play regardless of the outcome.
He said the party’s work ahead required unity and collective support for President John Dramani Mahama, as well as a shared commitment to improving the lives of Ghanaians.
“When the ballots have been counted, let us leave every constituency more united than we found it,” Dr Debrah said.
He wished the NDC family peaceful and successful constituency elections.
