The newly elected Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Krowor Constituency, Abdulai Sakra Alhassan, popularly known as Zionite, is set to fulfil his campaign promise of building a new, ultra-modern constituency office for the party.
He secured his election on Saturday, October 24, 2026, after polling 1,201 votes against James Kotey Nikoi’s 881 votes in the party’s constituency elections.
Sakra had pledged to build what he described as a ‘true home’ for the people of Krowor if he emerged victorious.
His commanding victory, with more than 300 votes ahead of his competitor, reflects the delegates’ confidence in his vision for the party.
The chairman-elect is expected to fulfil his campaign pledge to construct a new two-storey facility to serve as the Krowor NDC Constituency Office and house a Youth Development and Entrepreneurship Centre.
The delegates have spoken, and the task ahead for the new chairman is to deliver on his promise to ensure that modern party infrastructure in the constituency becomes not just a campaign promise but a reality.
