A serious collision involving a Toyota Hiace passenger vehicle and a Peugeot saloon car has occurred at Trey Court on the Kpong–Akosombo Highway in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality of the Eastern Region.
The accident, which occurred on Monday, October 26, 2026, involved a Toyota Hiace with registration number GE 6558-25 and a Peugeot saloon car with registration number GT 5463-11.
Preliminary reports indicate that the Toyota Hiace was travelling from Asikuma towards Accra, while the Peugeot saloon car was heading from Akuse towards Kpong.
According to colleague journalist, Leyla, both vehicles reportedly sustained extensive damage to their front sections, with some victims said to have sustained serious injuries.
Ppersonnel from the Kpong Fire Station were dispatched to the scene and arrived to respond to the incident.
At the time of filing this report, the exact number of casualties and the conditions of the injured victims were yet to be confirmed.
