Mahama is not the solution to Ghana’s economic challenges – Kwabena Ampofo

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the State Housing Company, Kwabena Ampofo has stated that former President John Dramani Mahama cannot provide the solutions Ghana needs to address its current economic challenges.

Speaking on the Angel Morning Show on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, Mr. Ampofo expressed confidence that Ghanaians would not return to Mahama’s leadership, citing the hardships experienced during his tenure.

“Ghanaians are wise and remember the hunger and struggles they endured under Mahama’s government. They know that the solution to our problems isn’t going back to him,” he said.

According to Mr. Ampofo, the policies implemented by the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), particularly under Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, are addressing the country’s economic needs and creating opportunities for citizens.

“Today, someone can live in Kotobabi and earn in dollars, thanks to policies introduced by Dr. Bawumia. You can stay in the comfort of your home, run a business online, and use your phone as your shop. These are the kinds of innovations that solve hunger and empower Ghanaians,” he explained.

Mr. Ampofo further emphasized that the progress made under the NPP demonstrates a commitment to transforming lives and preparing the nation for a brighter future. He urged Ghanaians to stay the course and avoid returning to leadership that he believes failed to deliver during its time in office.

His comments reflect ongoing debates about Ghana’s economic recovery and the role of leadership in driving sustainable growth.
