A New Patriotic Party (NPP) Communications Team Member, Kofi Antwi, has stated that John Dramani Mahama has not been comfortable since he became the President of Ghana for the second time.

In his submission during a panel discussion on the Angel Morning Show (AMS) on March 3, 2025, he noted that Ghanaians voted for President Mahama massively, which clearly indicates that they are expecting a lot from him.

He believes that this has caused the Mr Mahama to be unhappy since his election as the President of Ghana.

Kofi Antwi expressed that President Mahama won the 2024 general election with 2 million votes, which, according to him, has never happened in the history of Ghana’s elections. He stated that the President has a lot of responsibilities, which have become a burden on him, leading to his discomfort as the President of the country.

He said, “Mahama is not happy; I feel sad for him. I always pray for him… there are a lot of responsibilities on him, not just mere responsibilities. Since we declared him as the President, he has never laughed until his thanksgiving, where he was able to laugh because he has a lot of responsibilities on him.”

He further urged the President to use the right channels to govern his administration rather than revoking people’s appointments.

According to him, Mahama should stop sacking individuals from their work, as he believes that a 24-hour economy will help accommodate all the workers.
