The Member of Parliament for Cape Coast North Constituency, Dr. Kwamena Mintah Nyarku, has assured Ghanaians that all allocations in the recently presented national budget are achievable.

Speaking on the Angel Morning Show (AMS) with Saddick Adams on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, he emphasized the government’s commitment to fulfilling its financial plans outlined in the budget read on Tuesday, March 11.

Dr. Mintah highlighted that the Finance Minister used the budget presentation to communicate the government’s strategy for tax reforms aimed at completing unfinished projects, which were stalled due to misallocated funds by the previous administration.

He further explained that the preliminary budget report detailed the country’s debt situation and outlined revenue generation strategies to ensure the successful implementation of budgetary allocations.

“Looking at the indicators given by the Finance Minister, the budget allocation for 2024 clearly highlights the arrears that need to be cleared and the funds required to achieve all planned initiatives,” he stated.

Touching on the government’s “Big Push” initiative, Dr. Mintah Nyarku reiterated its focus on infrastructure development to improve access to basic amenities nationwide.

“We are looking at developing infrastructure across the country to provide Ghanaians with essential services,” the MP added.

According to him, the “Big Push” agenda also includes employment opportunities for the youth, aimed at reducing economic hardships.

He explained that policies such as the 24-hour economy, the Women’s Bank, and the apprenticeship program are designed to empower Ghanaians, particularly those who need financial support to acquire professional skills after completing Senior High School.

He also that the government has allocated funds to support these initiatives, ensuring that they are effectively implemented to benefit the Ghanaian people.
