The Kwahuhene and President of the Kwahu Traditional Council, Daasebre Akuamoah Agyapong II, has issued a stern warning against the infiltration of social vices during the year’s Kwahu Easter festival slated for this week.

Daasebre Akuamoah Agyapong II, in a message to indegenes of Kwahu and revelers for the festivities asserted that, hard drugs and reckless indulgence have no place in Kwahu during this celebration.

“Hard drugs and reckless indulgence have no place in our journey, choose purpose over momentary thrills and choose legacy over waste,” he said in a statement.

He stressed and indicated the need to uphold cultural values and reputations of the event.

“I urge our youth especially to let this not be a time of excess, but of excellence. Celebrate, but do so in a manner that honors your families, your communities, and your future.”

The Overlord also called on all revelers to be tolerant, respectful, and kind towards showcasing not only the thrill of their hills but the warmth of their hearts.

According to him, Kwahu has become the heartbeat of Ghana’s Easter, and it is the collective responsibility of the peopls to show that progress and pride can walk hand in hand with discipline and dignity.
