The Eastern Regional Minister, Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey and her entourage on Monday morning, came to the aid of victims involved in a near-fatal road crash on the Koforidua-Adukrom highway.
The accident, which occurred between Mile 44 and Okrakwadwo, involved a commercial vehicle with registration number GT 5160-17, travelling from Ashaiman to Koforidua.
Among those who sustained minor injuries were a pregnant woman and children.
However, no fatalities were reported at the time of filing this report according to the Eastern Region Co-ordinating Council (ERCC).
Meanwhile, the injured have been transported to a nearby health facility for treatment.
The cause of the accident is yet to be determined.
