A leading member of the Movement for Change, Solomon Owusu, has urged the government to ensure justice is served in the recent ghost names scandal at the National Service Authority (NSA).
Speaking on Tuesday’s June 17, 2025, edition of the Angel Morning Show (AMS) with Saddick Obama, Mr. Owusu expressed concern over the massive financial loss the scandal is causing the state.
He called on President John Dramani Mahama and his administration to pay close attention to the matter and stated that Ghanaians expect severe punishment to be meted out to those involved, if found guilty.
“This is a clear case of corruption and abuse of power. Those who have stolen from the nation must be held accountable. Justice must be served, and the culprits must be put before a competent court of law,” Mr. Owusu stated vehemently.
He further noted that the revelations of the ongoing investigations have left many Ghanaians feel betrayed and angered over how public funds continue to be misused under the watch of national institutions.
He alluded to the importance of assuring that those handling the case allow the law take its full cause against the accused individuals if found culpable.
“As investigations unfold, we expect the authorities to ensure that all individuals involved face imprisonment. A thorough and transparent probe must be conducted, and the law must take its full course,” he added.
