Asantehene announces One Week celebration of Asantehemaa’s demise

His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene, officially informed the Asanteman Council on Monday, August 11, 2025, of the passing of Nana Konadu Yiadom III, Asantehemaa, who departed this life peacefully on Thursday, August 7, 2025.

In a statement released on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, and signed by Amb. Naha Effah-Apenteng, it was announced that a One Week Celebration will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Bogyawe, Manhyia Palace, from 12 noon to 6:00 p.m.

Furthermore, Manhyia Palace conveyed to the public that there will be a ban on all funerals across Asanteman on Thursday, August 21, 2025, to allow the Asantehene and the entire Asanteman to appropriately observe the One Week Celebration for the beloved Asantehemaa.
