A 41-year-old man, Wahibu Bukari, who allegedly killed his wife in August this year over suspicions of infidelity, has reportedly committed suicide at Assin Anum in the Assin North District of the Central Region.
According to reports, Bukari left home without informing anyone. Upon returning from school around 4 PM, his eldest son heard a strange noise coming from one of the rooms.
Rushing in, he discovered his father lying unresponsive, with foam, suspected to be poison, coming from his mouth, and the room in disarray.
The boy quickly raised an alarm for assistance, and community elders organised to rush Bukari to the hospital, but he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Although the exact motive for the suicide remains unknown, some community members suspect he may have been battling an underlying illness, which could have contributed to his mental and emotional instability.
