The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has extended warm wishes to the Muslim community in Ghana and across the globe as they begin the holy month of Ramadan.
A statement issued and signed by General Secretary Hon. Fifi Fiavi Kwetey described Ramadan as a sacred period of fasting, prayer, and renewed devotion.
The NDC also referred to the month as a reminder of the core values of compassion, humility, and peaceful coexistence, virtues the party identifies as essential for Ghana’s national unity.
“The NDC acknowledges and deeply appreciates the significant contributions of the Muslim community to Ghana’s democratic journey, social cohesion, and economic growth,” the statement read.
The party further expressed its commitment to championing policies that promote equality and improved livelihoods for all Ghanaians, regardless of religious or ethnic background.
It also prayed for strength and good health for all those embarking on the spiritual journey.
“We wish the entire Muslim Ummah a peaceful, rewarding, and blessed Ramadan. Ramadan Mubarak!”
