Controversial marriage counsellor, Counsellor Lutterodt, has clarified that his comments regarding the late highlife legend Daddy Lumba’s burial, which led to his arrest, were never intended to incite violence.
He explained that only a portion of the three-hour video was circulated, which misrepresented the context of his remarks.
“If you watch the whole video, it doesn’t sound that way, but when you pick that small meal out of it, which somebody did. The long and short of it is that it was a bad statement from the law point of view, that they are inciting violence in calling the youth,” he told Kojo Sebo on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, on Angel Drive following his release by the police.
Lutterodt disclosed that he admitted before the police that his statements were inappropriate and offered a public apology.
“I admitted that yes, I said it, and it was in bad blood, so I apologized. That portion they played was not good, I admit that it was overboard,” he stated.
He further explained that his apology was intended to prevent anyone from misusing his remarks.
“The reason why I am apologizing is because I don’t want anyone to take advantage of that statement and do something, just like my detention went viral and bloggers wanted to get some bite for their blogs,” Lutterodt concluded.
