The announcement of Ghana’s final squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup has been scheduled for Monday, June 1, 2026, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) confirmed.
This confirmation was made by the President of the GFA, Kurt Simon Edwin Okraku, in a post on his social media handles.
The statement comes in reaction to the Black Stars’ friendly match defeat to Mexico on Saturday, May 23, 2026.
“The World Cup squad announcement is scheduled for June 1st,” said Mr. Okraku in his post.
He further called on Ghanaians to continue rallying their support behind the team.
“Let’s maintain our collective support for our stars,” the GFA President added.
FIFA has set June 1 as the deadline for the submission of squads for all qualified nations.
