Actor and media personality, Kwaku Manu, has appealed to the public to disregard social media posts and videos falsely linking him to the ongoing feud between Prophet Stephen Adom Kyei-Duah and Prophet Ebenezer Yiadom, popularly known as Opambour.
The Kumawood star said some bloggers have been using his images alongside those of the two prominent clergymen to create misleading content, even though he has added his voice to the matter.
“I have seen some bloggers using my pictures, Adom Kyei Dua and Ebener Yadom’s picture attached mine. Please I haven’t said anything about them. I’m pleading with Philadelphians that if someone says something, please come to my social media pages to check if I really said it,” he said.
Kwaku Manu explained that some content creators have been recycling old videos of him, adding new captions that falsely suggest he is commenting on current issues involving the pastors.
According to him, such edited posts have the potential to provoke followers of the churches, who may wrongly believe he is attacking their leaders.
“I might have said something about two years ago, then they go and pick that video and add a caption with my name. So if you are a member of those churches and you come across the video, you’ll be angry. Please, I don’t want anyone to involve me in their wahala. Thank you,” he added.
The actor urged social media users, particularly members of the Philadelphia Movement and other church followers, to verify any claims attributed to him by checking his official social media platforms before believing or sharing them.
