President of Bechem United, Kingsley Owusu Achiaw says clubs are going through hardship and has urged the government to invest in our local league.
The emergency of Covid-19 pandemic has affected football industry especially the financial aspect of the game and Ghana is of no exception.
Also, the absence of fans at various match centers have resulted in destitute as most of the clubs in Ghana are being financed by gate proceedings.
The COVID-19 Pandemic has really affected football management and has brought financial burden on most of the clubs and as such the government should come to our aid”, he told Nananom Fm.
“Even countries like Nigeria who are financially stable are getting support from the government but ours is different, the NPP and NDC government have taken our football for granted” he added.
The bankroll of Bechem finally calls on government not to only invest in our National teams but to include our local league in their budget as it could help solve issues of players exodus in the country.
