President Akufo-Addo has said that Ghanaians would sorely miss legendary Highlife artiste, Nana Ampadu, following the death of the musician.
According to the president, works of the musical icon has impacted the lives of many.
“The outpouring of grief by many Ghanaians, following the news of his death, is an appreciation of the impact his music had on successive generations of Ghanaians”, said the president.
While expressing sadness at the passing of the musical icon, President Akufo-Addo also sent his deep condolences to the widow, children and the rest of the family.
“Nana Ampadu believed in my vision for the transformation of Ghana, and assisted me tremendously on the campaign trail in the run-up to my victory in the elections of 2016, for which I remain eternally grateful”, he wrote on his official social media page.
The president added that Nana Ampadu lived an exemplary life.
“My Rest in perfect peace, Nana, and may the Almighty keep you in His Bosom until the Last Day of the Resurrection when we shall all meet again. Amen. Nana Ampadu, da yie, Nyame nfa wo kra nsie”, the president concluded.
