The Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture Development, Mavis Hawa Koomson, surprised staff of the ministry with some home-cooked food during their lunch break on Tuesday.

The minister, who doubles as the Legislator for Awutu Senya East Constituency, explained that her kind gesture was aimed at rewarding the employees for their unrelenting support.

Though she failed to announce the specific foods prepared, social media images on her Twitter wall showed variety of rice dishes as well as fufu with soup.

“So this afternoon I decided to surprise my staff at the Ministry again with home-made lunch 🥗🍲🥘just to thank them for their continuous support”, Madam Mavis Hawa Koomson tweeted.

Reacting to the minister’s post, some social media users described the minister as a mother with a kind heart and urged her to continue being generous to her staff and the public.

“May heavens continue to bless you as a real dear to every individual u are such a lovely dear…. My pray 🙏 for you is may all your enemies knee before you everyday and my God locate you with grace and favor and shower his blessings upon you and your family 👪”, another twitter user said.

Meanwhile, this is not the first time the minister has being generous to people.

During the Christmas celebrations, the Awutu Senya MP fed thousands of children in her constituency.
