The items included boxes of soap, packs of assorted drinks, bottle water and some gallons of oil were presented to the hospital as part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

General Manager of the company which also operates a printing press, Nii Aryee Obed outlined during the presentation that it is part of the company’s way of giving back to the society which has nurtured and sustained the CEO and other staff in the group.

“We know the year has been a very tough one for this group but we were able to sail through by the grace of God…and like we have been doing every year, we deemed it proper to donate our widow’s mite to support this hospital which has been the live wire of the not only people in Aburi and its surroundings but Accra as well…,” he said.

He was optimistic that the group in the coming year would be able to donate more and possibly adopt a ward or two at the facility and so it can maintain it regularly.

Facilities Manager at the hospital, Madam Cynthia Kwetey who received the items on behalf of the management of the hospital was very grateful for the gesture and thanked CEDECO Group for donating to support a just and viable cause.

“We are indeed over-whelmed with joy because we never knew someone or a group would remember our nurses and patients here this festive season….so God bless CEDECO Group and their CEO for thinking about us and donating to a just cause…,” she said.

She expressed the hope that the items will boost the morale of staff who never took break during this festive season but rather stayed on to save lives.

“But like Oliver Twist, we always ask for more and entreat other corporate entities to always remember the Presby Hospital in Aburi as we are also here to serve their medical needs…,” she added.
