A gospel musician, Obaapa Christy, has attributed her success in the music industry to the grace of God.

According to her, she does not sit to write her songs but gets inspiration from God to write her songs.

Speaking on Angel FM’s midmorning show, Y’adwuma nie on November 4, 2021, she said people started music before her but were not heard however, if she checks where she is coming from and where she has gotten to it’s by the grace of God.

She emphasised her strong resolve in God saying that in her hard times, she trusted in the lord and said to herself God is the only one who can help her succeed.

The gospel musician continued that truth be told God has really helped her to succeed in her career, because for them that believe everything works together for their good.

Obaapa Christy explained that she changed her name from Christina Love to Obaapa Christy to signify that she is a gift for Ghana and the world.

Despite rebranding, the change of name did not affect her as people can still get access to all her songs.

She noted that the change of name is synonymous to petrol to a flame implying that her progress in the industry increased as soon as she rebranded.

She advised fellow artiste to look up to God to succeed because is only God who can make them shine.
