The newly installed Chief “Adontehene” of Assin Asempanaye in the Assin North District of the Central Region, Nana Appiah Boadi I, has made a clarion call to the people of the area to bury their differences and unite to foster development.

Reiterating the need to come together as one people, he indicated without Peace and unity, the community cannot develop and that unity plays a major role in all spheres of life.

In an interview with Angel News, the Adontehene appealed to the chiefs of the area to do away with their parochial and sectional interest and promote peace and development rather.

“We are like ingredients put together to prepare a sumptuous meal. If we come together as one people we’ll foster development in our schools, work, community and the country at large. If one family wants to do everything by itself, we won’t get the desired results we need” he said in Twi.

He made the call during a colourful ceremony to swear in Nifahene, Nana Amoh II, and Adontenhene Nana Appiah Boadi I, together with their subordinates, Nifahemaa Nana Amankra I and  Adontenhemaa Nana Akroma II respectively.

On her part, the newly installed Nifahemaa Nana Amankra I, admonished the teenagers especially the adolescent girls to focus on their education and resist any attempt to lure them to engage in premarital sex that could lead them to unwanted pregnancies and shutter their dream of becoming useful citizens.

“They say ‘what men can do, women can do better’, so if the girls will study hard what the men have achieved they can do greater.” she said.
