Take your destiny into your hands and cause change – CPP National Chairwoman

Must Read

The Chairwoman of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Nana Akosua Frimponmaa Sarpong Kumankuma, has charged the Ghanaian youth to take their destiny into their own hands to change the economic situation of the country.

According to her, it is only the youth who can make the economic independence of the country a reality by voting the right person into office.

Addressing some students of the University Of Ghana at the Elizabeth Sey Hall in Accra on Monday in consonance with the independence celebration under the theme:” Kae Nkrumah Ghana, The Role of the Youth, Ghana @ 66″, she said the CPP is the only political party that believes in the youth and therefore needs the power to bring the needed change that will affect the lives of the Ghanaian youth positively.

Nana Akosua Frimponmaa, however, said independence day is an important day in the lives of Ghanaians. She stressed that beyond the march past, the day must be repositioned for the youth to understand its importance.

She, therefore, reminded the students that if they want to achieve economic independence they have to act right before the problem swallows them up.

CPP party executive urged that “now is the time to do what you want to do; If you don’t get up today, don’t blame the leadership of the country”.

She also advised the students not to follow the political parties based on their affiliations to them or mere preference for them but support people who will work in their interest.
