Blame NPP’s lost of majority seats in Parliament on MCEs – Obiri Boahen

Former General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Lawyer Obiri Boahen, has pledged that he would stop practicing law if Vice President John Mahama is not elected NPP Flagbearer.

According to the lawyer cum politician, Dr. Bawumia is the sure bet for the NPP going into the 2024 elections adding that it is only Dr Bawumia who can help the party break the 8.

“I [Obiri Boahen] started the Bawumia agenda in 2021 and I will continue vigorously pursuing it anytime and any day. When I said that he was going to beat his competitors in all the 16 regions during the special delegates conference, didn’t it manifest in the outcome of the polls…? he quizzed Angel Morning Show host, Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah.

The private legal practitioner further predicted the number of constituencies the Vice President will win in the November 4, 2023 polls.

“I predicted a win and it manifested so what are you talking about percentage wise here, so once Obiri Boahen is at the forefront, Bawumia will win at least 200 constituencies out of the 275. He will win and I’m going to make history for my brother to ensure he makes it for the general election…,” he added.

His comments were in line with his endorsements of Dr. Bawumia’s candidacy to lead the party in 2024.

“It were Professor Gyampo and Dr. Asante who have projected a defeat for Dr. Bawumia but I challenge them…so I challenge Professor Gyampo to come out vehemently for us to gable our designations [Lawyer and Professor] with our projections.
