National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party(NPP), Stephen Ntim, has assured members and sympathisers of the elephant family of the rise of the party despite its disappointment in the 2024 general elections.
He asked them to be resolute and never lose hope, indicating that, the NPP will bounce back stronger to its glory days.
Speaking to the media at Accra in the aftermath of the elections, Mr. Ntim said the outcome of the polls was challenging for the NPP.
“Indeed, this is a difficult time for us as a party. But we are a resilient people. We must, and we will rise again from this defeat. We are reorganising ourselves for the battles of tomorrow.
“Fellow party members, this means we cannot give up. We must engage [with] the restructuring process with all the energy we can master to get the elephant trumpeting again. Kukrudu!!! Kukrudu!!! Kukruuuuduuu!!!,” He chanted in his encouragement of party members.
In his admission of the election results, Mr. Ntim stated that they went to the polls with hopes for a decisive victory at the polls however their wish failed.
“Our aim was to secure an emphatic victory, and we worked very hard at it. As a party, we put in our best effort during the campaign. There is no doubt that the outcome of the elections was not what we hoped for.
We may not have won the battle, but we haven’t lost the war in our quest for a better Ghana, shaped by the ideals and philosophies of the NPP,” he added.
He also expressed gratitude to all members and sympathizers of the party for their unwavering commitment and support.
