The Nsoatre Traditional Council has promised to identify and bring to justice the unknown perpetrator(s) responsible for the fatal stabbing of a devoted Kumasi Asante Kotoko supporter during their Ghana Premier League match against Nsoatreman FC at Nsuatre.

According to the Traditional Council, the Nananom, opinion leaders, and stakeholders have always stood for peace and will not tolerate lawlessness within the Nsuatre catchment area.

“We want to assure Asanteman and the entire country that, Nsoatre Traditional Council would do everything within our means to uncover the perpetrators to face the laws of this country.

We want to assure all peace loving citizens that Nsoatre is a peaceful town and Nananom would not superintend any unlawful acts that would bring disgrace and lawlessness into this country,” the council said in a statement available to Angelononline.com.gh.

The statement further expressed condolences to the entire Asante Kingdom, describing the incident as “unfortunate and disgraceful,” and hoped that the strong bond between the two communities would remain intact.

The council also pledged to work closely with the investigative team to ensure justice for the bereaved family.

“We hope to maintain the cordial relationship between Nsoatreman and Asanteman and would liaise with the security agencies to fight for justice for the family of the deceased,” it said.

The council concluded by condemning the hooliganism witnessed at the match venue, which resulted in the tragic loss of life.
