About 95% of the reconstruction works on the Kantamanto Market is complete, Executive Member of the Kantamanto Disaster Committee, Aikins Boakye Mensah, has revealed.

According to Mr. Boakye Mensah, what is left is the rebuilding of the gates and the recruitment of security personnel.

He made these known on Friday, February 28, 2025, when FIDO Microcredit Limited made a donation to of GH¢70,000 to support the victims of the fire disaster, which struck on Thursday, January 2, 2025.

The contribution, according to Chief Executive Officer of FIDO Microcredit Limited, is aimed at helping the affected individuals rebuild their properties and restart their businesses.

“My team and I realized that several of the market’s gates were destroyed in the blaze,” Mr. Quansah, stated.
