Four persons are reported to be in critical condition following a multi-vehicle road crash near the Obra Spot at Kwame Nkrumah Circle in the Greater Accra Region.
The incident, which involved a speeding KIA pickup truck and three other vehicles, occurred in the afternoon on Wednesday, April 9, 2025.
Eyewitness accounts indicate that the KIA pickup was descending at top speed from the Kwame Nkrumah Circle overpass when it veered into the opposite lane, resulting in a head-on collision.
“The driver was moving too fast. We saw the pickup come down the overhead and slam straight into the cars,” a bystander recounted.
This led to multiple passengers being trapped inside the vehicles before an emergency team quickly intervened to rescue them.
The seriously injured victims were rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention.
