NPP suspends party ID card issuance over inconsistencies, lack of coordination

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has imposed an immediate suspension on the issuance of party identification cards nationwide, following concerns over inconsistencies and a lack of coordination in the ongoing card distribution process.

The directive contained in a memo follows what it described as an exercise marked by inconsistencies and a lack of coordination, raising significant concerns among various regions, constituencies, and Members of Parliament (MPs).

“To uphold the legitimacy and security of our operations, I hereby direct an immediate suspension of all Party ID card issuance until further notice,” the memo signed by the General Secretary of the party, Justin Kodua Frimpong, stated.

According to the memo, the measure is imperative to ensure a more transparent and organized process moving forward and assured party stakeholders that additional directives will be communicated in due course.

It further entreated all executives to comply promptly with the directive, describing it as both expected and deeply appreciated.
