The Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) strongly refuted claims it has announced a decision on producer pricing for the 2025/26 season.
A statement issued by the COCOBOD management described the reports as entirely false.
The statement dated April 9, 2025, urged the public to disregard the report as there is no Board of Directors in place hence such a crucial decision can never be taken.
“There should be in place a committee by name Producer Price Review Committee which also is yet to be formed.
“In view of the aforementioned reasons there is no way such an announcement can be made,” the Public Affairs Department of COCOBOB emphasised in its statement.
