Must Read

Minister for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has defended the sector’s undisclosed budget decision for the Black Stars’ recent 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Chad and Madagascar.

According to him, the timing for the release of budgetary details is not the best; therefore, urging the public to exercise some restraints.

The minister’s remarks relate to the growing concerns among football enthusiasts over the delay in publicising details of the Black Stars’ budget following President John Dramani Mahama’s directive for transparency in national team expenditures.

Speaking on the subject in a recent interview, Kofi Adams indicated that the Black Stars’ budget would be disclosed at an appropriate time.

“I am not hiding the budget for Black Stars, you will know it when the time is right, we have next assignments coming up,” he said while speaking with Channel One TV’s Umaru Amadu.

He warned against distractions, adding that individuals who obstruct progress may eventually be treated as part of the issue.

“I see problems, but I don’t see the human beings as problems. If you continue to become an obstacle to solving the problem, then you are the problem,” he stressed.
