I don’t believe in secular gospel collaboration-Gospel singer

Must Read

Gospel musician Mavis Asante has expressed her disbelief about collaborations between gospel and secular artists.

In a recent interview with DJ Slim, she shared her perspective and expressed uncertainty about gospel musicians collaborating with secular artists.

According to her, she doesn’t believe in secular-gospel collaborations because, as a gospel artist, her focus is on winning souls for Christ.

She explained that if the goal is truly about soul-winning, then she would rather work with fellow gospel musicians who believe in what she does so they can win souls together.

“To my perspective, I don’t believe in secular gospel collaborations because I want to win souls for Christ as a gospel artiste, and if it’s about soul wining then I will rather mingle with my fellow gospel musician who believes in what I’m doing so we win souls together, it is not just about singing,” she declared.

She further questioned the motive behind such collaborations, emphasizing her preference for working within the gospel community to effectively spread their message.

“I believe there are so many wonderful spiritually gospel artiste I can reach out to them than to step out and say I am going to collaborate with a secular artiste, what is the motive behind it?,” is it for fame? What do I want to achieve at the end of the day?” she questioned.
