Accra Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Benjamin Asare has experienced significant growth in his footballing journey after being gifted a car to aid his transportation.

He received the car – Hyundai Elantra from celebrated business mogul and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Class Media Group, Alhaji Seidu Agongo.

The vehicle was presented at the club’s commercial center on Wednesday, May 7, 2025.

Mr. Agongo’s benevolent act follows a viral video on social media showing the Hearts of Oak stopper using public transport, which sparked controversy after his debut for the Black Stars in March.

Receiving the gift, Benjamin Asare expressed his gratitude in the presence of the donor and described the gesture as lovely.

“I thank all the supporters of Hearts of Oak and everyone. It is incredible for a lovely gesture to be extended to someone like me,” he expressed.

Management of Accra Hearts of Oak described Mr. Agongo’s gesture as “good leadership rewarded,” while congratulating him.

“Our captain Benjamin Asare has driven performance on and off the pitch, now he’s driving home in style. Congratulations on this well-deserved gift. From guarding the goalposts to earning the keys,” they said in a post on their socials.

Benjamin Asare, whose performance earned him call-ups to the Black Stars, has kept 15 clean sheets in 24 games for the Phobians in the ongoing 2024/25 season.
