Twifo Praso murder case: Massive crowd besiege court as suspects are remanded into  custody

The suspects arrested in connection with the murder of the 21-year-old seamstress, Zenabu Tahiru, have been remanded into police custody after being arraigned before the Twifo Praso District Court on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, for the first time since their arrest.

The suspects are a 28-year-old mechanic, Richard Armah, and a 24-year-old spinner, Isaac Arhin.

The court proceedings attracted a large crowd of residents from Twifo Praso and neighboring communities due to the public’s deep concern over the tragic incident.

The suspects were remanded into police custody and are scheduled to reappear before the court on May 21, 2025. The police prosecutor and the judge emphasized the need for a thorough inquiry to ensure justice is served.

The courtroom and its surroundings were filled with community members seeking answers and justice for Zenabu’s untimely death. The atmosphere was tense, with many attendees expressing their grief and frustration over the incident.

Security was heightened around the court premises to maintain order and prevent any potential disturbances.

Law enforcement officers assured the public of their commitment to conducting a comprehensive investigation and bringing those responsible to justice.
