Dare me and I’ll wash our dirty cloths in public – NPP’s Owusu Bempah

Must Read

A Deputy Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ernest Owusu Bempah-Bonsu, has cautioned party members against the incessant attacks on his person, after he publicly stated his views on Sammy Gyamfi’s dollar gift to Agradaa.

Mr. Bempah-Bonsu said he can no longer tolerate the insults and attacks on his personality by members of the NPP while expressing his views on a national discussion.

He has since warned the party that any further attempt will spell doom for the NPP fraternity in the country.

“I have always said that Owusu Bempah is not corrupt and can never be corrupt. So whatever I say, I say it out of my conscience. Those party members scrutinizing and attacking me should be reminded of that.

“In the past, when I was defending the party on numerous issues, who was Owusu Bempah speaking for then on principles? Let me tell you, if they dare me, the kind of secrets I will reveal… it will not be good for any of us in this country,” he stated on the Angel Morning Show on Angel TV and Angel FM on Tuesday, May 13, 2025.

According to Mr. Bempah, in the court of public opinion, everyone has the right to share their views, and therefore he should not be seen as an enemy.

“I’m just sharing my opinion on this particular subject matter of political precedent. Are they telling me that public opinion does not support what is going on? What is wrong with that?” he said on the Angel Morning Show.

He made references to the sacrifices he has made over the years defending the party, and stated that while those occasions were not seen as opposing the party, the same principle should apply now.

He reiterated his caution to the party, warning that he could expose the NPP’s secrets publicly.

“When our brother NAPO’s controversial Kwame Nkrumah issue popped up, and they were on my neck in the wee hours of the night to come and defend him because I was the only one who could do that properly for the party. Was I speaking for Swahili at the time? They shouldn’t dare me at all,” he reaffirmed.

He urged the NPP to open their eyes, emphasizing that they cannot “jump the gun and start talking like that,” especially at a crucial moment when they “need numbers to win an election.”

The vocal communicator, who emphasized his defense of Sammy Gyamfi, the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Gold Board (Gold Board), rhetorically asked “Are we [NPP] serious?”
