Businessman, Akwasi Addai Odike has supported the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) early congress decision with the ‘top-to-bottom’ approach, highlighting its positive effects in promoting and sustaining the party’s relevance.
He made this statement on Monday, June 23, 2025 on Angel Morning Show (AMS) while emphasizing on the critical role the approach will play.
“The approach will widen the electoral college while helping in the voting of executives at a go; the polling station executive, constituency, regional and national executives together with the flag bearer and Member of Parliament (MP),” he said.
In his opinion, the said approach will eliminate the delegates system, corruption, bitterness and conflicts within the party.
‘’The NPP will use just one ballot box but will generate all the executives hence eradicating delegates system and also, acrimony going on in the party will reduce and will also prevent corruption so that only those who have been strictly approved by the party will lead,” he explained.
Odike further hopes the NPP makes good efforts with their approach in selecting their political executives and generate good reform.
He then advised the NPP not to divert their arrangements and decisions within the primaries to monetary aspect and fashion.
