Nii Odartey Lamptey resigns as coach of Eleven Wonders

Head Coach of Ghana Premier League (GPL) side Eleven Wonders, Nii Odartey Lamptey, has resigned from his role at the club, Angelonline.com.gh can confirm.

In a statement sighted, Mr. Nii Odartey submitted his resignation letter, bringing his tenure with the club to an end.

His decision follows a poor run of form by the returnees in the ongoing 2025/26 season.

In a statement dated Thursday, October 30, 2025, the club confirmed receipt of the resignation letter from their former coach.

“Eleven Wonders can confirm that Mr Nii Odartey Lamptey has tendered his resignation as Head Coach of the club, which has been accepted with immediate effect.”

Wonders used the opportunity to express gratitude to the outgoing coach for his “dedication, passion and contribution to the club during his tenure.

“We wish him the very best in his future endeavours,” parts of the statement added.

According to the club, it has begun the search for a new coach to lead the team in the GPL.

Meanwhile, the current technical team will, in the interim, assume responsibility for all team duties to ensure “continuity” and “focus.”

The former Black Stars player was appointed shortly before Eleven Wonders’ campaign in the 2025/26 league began.

Eleven Wonders are currently second from the bottom of the league table with 2 points.
