The Foreign Affairs Minister, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has announced the successful evacuation of all staff serving at the Ghanaian Embassy in Iran.
In a social media post on his official page on Monday, March 2, 2026, the Minister confirmed that Ghanaian diplomats assigned to the mission have been safely withdrawn from Iran amid rising security concerns.
He further disclosed that the Ghanaian Embassy in Iran has been officially closed sine die, indicating that it will remain shut indefinitely.
